Extending roof lifespan through an efficient and cost-effective recovery system.
The existing roofing system showed signs of deterioration, including membrane damage and potential moisture infiltration. The challenge was to extend the roof’s lifespan without performing a full tear-off, while maintaining structural performance.
A recover system was implemented using a 60 mil TPO membrane over a prepared substrate. The process included installation of DensDeck® roof board for added stability and reinforcement, followed by precise membrane installation using mechanical fastening and heat-welded seams.
The project involved surface preparation, removal of existing metal components, installation of insulation and cover board, and application of a fully adhered TPO system with reinforced seams.
The solution successfully extended the roof’s lifespan, improved waterproofing performance, and delivered a cost-efficient alternative to full replacement.
